Kalerkantho Bangla Daily Newspaper In Bangladesh
Kaler Kantho (Bengali:, romanized: Daily Voice of Time) is one of Bangladesh's most widely circulated Bengali newspapers. It is a subsidiary of the East-West Media Group, a subsidiary of Bangladesh's largest conglomerate, the Bashundhara Group.
Bangladesh Pratidin, Daily Sun, News24, Radio Capital, and Banglanews24 are all owned by the same company.
Abed Khan was Kaler Kantho's first editor. The inaugural issue of the daily appeared on January 10, 2010. Khan quit as editor after a short period of time (June 2011). Following Abed Khan's retirement, Imdadul Haq Milan, a well-known Bangladeshi novelist, took over as editor.
After Imdadul Haq Milan became the director and brand ambassador of East, Shahed Mohammad Ali, a former senior news editor of Prothom Alo, was named acting editor on October 3, 2021.
